Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

Reports from virtually all boats fishing the area from Isla Ladrones to Isla Coiba are all comng in positive, with few exceptions.
Isla Montuosa and Isla Jicaron are really shining.
Montuosa is tops for blue marlin and big yellowfin tuna, with sails always a treat, while Jicaron is a jig and bait bottom fisherman's dream. Some VERY impressive cubera snapper are taken there with regularity. Also, big roosterfish, grouper, and many other species.
Weather is picture perfect, calm seas, unlimited visibility , blue skies, and bluer water. Lots of bait around. Blue runner work both inshore and offshore, while outside live bonitos or "football" size yellowfin/bigeye tunas will pull that marlin of a lifetime into your spread.
Over in Costa Rica, dorado are very plentiful, with large numbers of sailfish having moved into the area from Punta Burica to Cabo Mata Palo.
Inshore remains quite strong in C.R. also. Lots of good catches of yellowtail snapper on live or cut sardinas are keeping the grills humming, and making it harder and harder to find butter and garlic in the stores here in Zancudo.
Boca Chica Fishing Forecast:

Fishing--Excellent for all species, both inshore and offshore.
Weather--blue skies, calm seas, blue water.
