Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

WAHOO are dominating the fishing scene , anywhere from Isla Ladrones to Isla Coiba.
We had our best luck last week in two places.
Between Islas Paridas and Montuosa, and off the west coast of Islas Secas.
Hoo´s up to 85 lbs., with the average at about 45lbs. were taken on BRAID and YO-ZURI tremblers, jet -head´s w/blue-white or red-black skirts, and MOLD-CRAFT wide range lures in blue-white-pink and red-black.
Had 4 DORADO take the tremblers also, and ran into a school of porpoise over tuna, though no big ones, and the BRAID lure took 6 in the 15-25 lb. class.
BLACK MARLIN are in very good numbers at the Hannibal Bank, and off Montuosa.
We tried for billfish off Ladrones for a few hours, but no pick-ups.
Passing low pressure systems made things a little wet at times, but all in all fishing was comfortable.
We took a day to load up on sardines and fished the inside for corvina and snapper, around ¨the Brothers¨ and another reef further inside.
Corvina bit very well, but the snapper were a bit fussy. Maybe it was that they were trickier than we were.
Fishing for all species wil do nothing less than keep on improving, especially the WAHOO bite Really a great time of year.
Good Luck Fishing, WHEREVER YOU ARE !!! Capn Bob
