Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

With the cooling rains come lower surface temps. Fresh water entering the ocean from rivers and streams bring the wahoo up and they are BITING NOW!
We're having trouble getting past the area just outside Ilas Paridas. We always run into too many fish, have to stop. Before you know it, the day's over, the cooler's are full of wahoo steaks, dorado fillets, and most days, a lot of sashimi tuna.
Isla Ladrones area continues to fish well for marlin, using feather-caught live bonitos. Some very nice CUBERA SNAPPER coming over the side there too.
Big yellow fin starts approx. 6 miles off Ladrones , on a line with Isla Montuosa. All the way to Montuosa, there are large porpoise schools, and various outbreaks of 'tuna frenzy'. Fish up and over 300 lbs. are not uncommon.
Yes, there's some rain. Bring a lightweight, but STURDY, rain-suit. The fish don't care if it's raining or not !
