Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

For those of you who regularly check my reports for recent updates, info, and maybe just because you MISS PANAMA, I appreciate your e-mails and charter requests.
We continue to score with some very respectable WAHOO and the popper and butterfly jigging methods used for the big YELLOWFIN TUNA are reaping some grerat benefits.
Isla Montuosa continues to be the best for me. I love the Hannibal Bank, don´t get me wrong, but the wide-er open spaces around Montuosa , fewer boats, are two things that make my days offshore much more enjoyable.
We´ve also had some good luck around Islas Ladrones on mutton and cubera snapper, and also picked two nice BLACK MARLIN on slow-trolled live bonitos, rigged with circle hooks and bridled through the eyes. Great fun.
One of the animals , mad no doubt ábout its loss of freedom , flopped up on the motors, slapped around trying to kill the ¨something¨that had it by the mouth, then slid back into the drink , laid over sideways, and unknowingly allowed us a quick release, as I was able to get a short gagg under the hook and retrieve it from the gasping mouth. We had to ¨stroll¨that one alongside for about 15 minutes before we were confident in her survival.
DORADO are as thick as rice, about everywhere you want to fish. We´re taking a LOT of nice dorado just two miles off MATA PALO/ Pavones over in COSTA RICA.
Sailfish are a bit scarce, but with all else that´s going on, who has time to pine for THEM !
Some reports say that November will be dri(er)than this month has been, at least on our Pacific side.
Sometimes they get it right; sometimes they get it all wrong. Depends on what witch doctor you use, I suppose.
Give me a call or mail if you´re in-country, or live here with us and want to add some food groups to your frezzer.
We´ll be READY !!
Good Luck Fishing, WHEREVER You Are In the WORLD ! Capnbob
