Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

What could possibly be better than yellowfin tuna in excess of 100 pounds hitting SURFACE POPPERS and at times coming full out of the blue Pacific to nail them!!!
This is whatīs happening now, and has been going on almost non-stop , for the past few months.
And, itīs only going to get BETTER!!
Marlin and dorado are in good numbers also, along with a heavy presence of WAHOO.
Fantastic fishing all the way roundī.
Deep jigging for big CUBERA SNAPPER and various grouper species continues excellent.
Roosterfish around Islas Secas and Islas Paridas are biting well, but many live baits are being cut to pieces by marauding WAHOO. I just HATE when that happens, donīt you?
At our lodge in Costa Rica (Playa Zancudo)itīs basically the same story, minus the wahoo. We get a few, but not like the Panama side.
SAILFISH on both sides of the border are spotty, but there are a few around.
If youīre going to be in Golfito(C.R.) or around the DAVID(Pan.) area in the near future, contact me at : [email protected] and/or [email protected], and Iīll get you set up with a fun charter.
Book early for next season. Itīs going to be another great one!!
Good Luck Fishing, WHEREVER you are !! Capn Bob
