The fishing is typical for this time of the year, many juvenile Tarpon are found in the backcountry channels and lagoons, along with several large fish of over 100 pounds. Most of the tarpon that the angler will encounter will be from 10 to 40 pounds, a leaping ton of fun on light tackle.
We are targetting these fish using live Bay Anchovies and Threadfin Herring.
On average a 4 hour charter can get up to 15 strikes, with 6 or 7 releases a real possibility.
On the Fly fishing front, we are getting some action on mullet, clouser, half nd half patterns, fished very slowly along the bottom usinf intermediate fishing lines.
All these flies in natural baitfish patterns and colors.
