Charleston - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well its been hot around the Low Country and so has the fishing!!We have had some great Tailing Tides for Redfish this month and should get better through Summer/Fall.Fly Anglers are doing well using Spoon Flies,Redfish Toads,Merkin Crabs,and Dalberg Divers.Spin Anglers are using Gold Spoons,GulpBaits,and DOA Shrimps this action well continue through Summer/fall.On the low tides Groups of Redfish 30-100 fish can be found cruzing the flats feeding on Shrimps and Finger mullets.

The Speckle Trout Bite has been great at the inlets and beaches using live Menhadens and live Shrimps fish on the bottom or undera Cajun Thunder Floats.Lady fish have been mix in also and are a lot of fun Fly/Spin Tackle.

Cobia,Amberjacks,Barracudas,Spanish Macks,Tarpons, and a varitey Sharks have move in for the Summer.Cobis And amberjacks have been on the wrecks and Shipping lane Bouys and can be Chum up on Menhadens and caught on Top-water Plugs and Flies.The spanish Mack are out side the jetties and in the shipping channels and are busting on the schools of glass minnows and are being caught on Spoons and Epoxy flies.The Tarpons have showed up in the Bay and harbor and will hang out for the Summer Months feeding on Memhadens/Mullets Schools.
