Cooler temps get inshore redfish going

Capt. Charlie Beadon
January 7, 2012
Hilton Head - Saltwater Fishing Report

Though the fishing through most of December was spotty… good one day and poor the next, this cold weather that we have seen over the past week seems to have really pushed the redfish into their winter patterns. I fished each of the past 5 days and have seen a noticeable difference in the movements of the fish. Schools that had been broken have gotten together into really nice sized schools. The best part is that they are eating well. Yesterday we started out with the spinning rods using spoons and jerk baits and they were eating them well so we switched over to the fly rod and picked up another 5 reds over about a half hour. To sum it up the winter bite is on. Until next time, Catch em up! Captain Charlie
