Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report
LAKE BUCHANAN
Water clear; 55 degrees; 1015.38'
LARGEMOUTH are fair to good along secondary creek channels slow-rolling 1/4 oz. Texas Red Terminator spinnerbaits, pitching a 4" crawfish Super Tube Heavy
(www.cremelure.com), a chartreuse Devil's Tongue on Drop Shot rigs and 4" gray/blue flake SlidingWeight Craw Fish (www.slidingweight.com). Work boat docks pitching a 3/16 oz. pumpkin Terminator Finesse Jig.
STRIPERS are good on live bait and trolling 1/2 oz. Curb's striper jigs in 18-30' From Flag to Mud Island.
WHITE BASS are fair to good in the mouth of larger creeks jigging 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows, 2" Lit'l fishie Shads and casting Tiny Traps.

LARGEMOUTH are fair to good in 4'-12' along secondary creek points and upriver using 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits, 6" BBB watermelon candy Disc Lizards
(www.bigbitebaits.com) and 4" watermelon/red SlidingWeight Craw Fish (www.slidingweight.com). Upriver, bass are good on 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits, 6" watermelon BBB Lizards and grape Scoundrel worms on wacky rigs.
SMALLMOUTH are good in 8'-15' in submerged trees pitching 3/16-3/8 oz. Terminator Finesse jigs, smoke
Super Tubes and 4" chartreuse Disc Worms. Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) on drop shot rigs is producing along breaklines of gravel flats.
STRIPERS are fair over ridges in 30-40' at midlake on 1/2 oz. Curb's striper jigs, Pirk Minnows and 3" Lit'l Fishie Shads.
WHITE BASS are fair to good in Cranes Mill jigging
1/4-1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows and 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads and upriver trolling No. 5 Shad Raps and No. 3 Terminator In-Line spinners.
