Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report
CANYON LAKE: Water gin clear; 54 degrees; 908.84:
Largemouth are good along rock ledges in 4'-10' in creeks on white 7/16 oz. Terminator 'tungsten' spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), Whacky Sticks on wacky rigs using a 3/0 "K"Whacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) & Texas rigged watermelon Snap Back (www.canyonlakefishing.com) Creature Baits.
Smallmouth are good to over rock piles in 4'-12'using smokin'green Devil's Tongues(www.cremelure.com) on drop shot rigs, brown hair jigs and pumpkin Baby Craws (www.slidingweight.com).
Stripers are fair to good at first light under birds from mid-lake to the dam using Slap Sticks (www.rat-l-trap.com), Berkley diving crankbaits and Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com).
White Bass are fair on Pirk Minnows and white 1/4 oz. Road Runners.
