Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report
Canyon Lake: Water clear; 53 degrees; 906.73' ( 4' low)
Largemouth to 5 lbs are holding along ledges and tight
to trees in 5'-20' on 5" smoke-red JDC Craws, pumpkin 5" Whacky Sticks and/or pumpkin Scoundrel worms rigged on jigheads.
Smallmouth are very good to 4+ lbs in 12'-30' swimming a 4" smoke JDC Strike Grub, split shot rigged Devil's Tongues and blk-brn hair jigs w/11 pork strip.
Stripers are slow to fair on white Snap Back jerkbaits rigged on a 3/0 RED Bait Jerker Hook, 3" Spoiler Shad and Pirk Minnows.
Crappie are fair but mostly small on minnows in 12'-20'.

Largemouth are fair to good to 7 lbs in 5' to 15' tight to wood cover using wacky rigged 5 inch Whacky Sticks, Carolina rigged pumpkin-chartreuse Snap Back lizards and pitching 1/4 oz. black-purple
Terminator jigs.
White Bass are slow, schooled up in 30' channels in the
lower end.
Crappie are fair to good in 15' on minnows.
