Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report
Canyon Lake: Water: clear; 80 degrees; 909.03' :
Largemouth are fair to good in 5'-10' in standing
timber or stickups and secondary points on white
spinnerbaits. shad flukes and pumpkin Whacky Sticks.
Smallmouth are good to 4 lbs in 9' - 20' using red JDC
curl tail grubs, smoke tubes and 1/8 oz. pumpkin
Curb's jigs.
Stripers are fair in open water over humps jigging Pirk Minnows.
White Bass are fair along mainlake points jigging Pirk
Minnows..
Crappie are very good up river on minnows and Curb's
crappie jigs.

Largemouth are very good along seawalls and lay-
downs on creek points on plastic swimbaits, Curb's
buzzbaits/"Erratic" jigs and watermelon-red Whacky
Sticks.
Stripers are good at night on Creme Lure's 2"
Spoiler Shads and Little Fishies.
White Bass fair to good at night on Little Fishies.
Crappie are fair over brush piles in clear water
on Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.
