Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake

Water ultra clear; 78-80 degrees; 905.30' & dropping each day. Largemouth and smallmouth fair to good on early morning and evening bite along ledges of bluffs in 8'-15' inside of secondary points of creeks, & very early on gravel flats in 4'-8'. 1/4 oz. silver Terminator spinnerbaits, TX730 Pro Series Rat-L-Traps & Pop R's. Later try Terminator spinnerbaits & 3"-4" finesse worms on split shot rigs in creeks and ditches with stickups, trees or stumps. Lower lake swim 3" smoke/blue flake Minnie Bucket grubs on 1/8th oz. heads through submerged tree tops.
