Report for Canyon Lake & Lake LBJ, Texas

Capt. Jim Files
June 20, 2000
Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake LBJ

Largemouth slow. Recent rains have apparantly put too many nutrients in the water, causing a slight die off of baitfish. Bass are holding/suspended on or near normal activity areas such as creek points and rip rap on seawalls. Larger fish are suspended in very thick brush. Plastics such as Creme Scremer worms, 6" Minnie Bucket lizards and 1/4 or 3/8 oz. watermelon Curb's jigs with Lake Fork PIG-Claw trailers are the best bets for inactive fish.

LAKE BUCHANAN
