We are over half way thru the month of May, and when mother nature cooperates - Galveston Fishing has been Awesome! The water temps have reached the mid 70's and we are seeing the signs of summer. Speckled trout and redfish are being caught on our Galveston Jetty / Beachfront trips, as well as sharks, ling, sheepshead, drum, gulf trout, sand trout, and stingrays. The speckled trout have been very good size up to 9lbs this month. Slot reds and bull reds are also very plentiful this month. The fishing will only get better along the jetties as the waters continue to warm, and fish begin looking for deeper water. June will be here and we anticipate some spectacular fishing along the Galveston Jetties and Beachfront.

Our Bayou Bay Marsh trips have been a great place to find refuge when the winds are too high to fish the open waters. The marsh is full of redfish, speckled trout, flounder and puppy drum. It has not been uncommon to hook into over 50 fish on half day Bay / Marsh trip. These are the areas the younger fish take refuge up in the shallow and grass flats in the spring. We are also catching keeper size fish as well. During the months of June and July thru August - we will beging catching very good numbers of flounder that will be following the shad up into these shallow areas. If you are looking to keep kids busy reeling in fish, and not worry about seasickness - a Bayou Bay Marsh trip is a great place to spend a day on some calm waters.
