The beginning of our Galveston Spring Break Fishing has arrived, and we are fired up catching lots of fish. The weather this past week has really been nice, and our Galveston Fishing Charters has been taking advantage of the great conditions. From the Galveston Jetties to the Back Lakes, Bayous and Bays of West Galveston Bay – lots of memories are being made and many species of fish are hitting the decks of our boats!

Galveston Jetty & Beachfront

Year after year the Galveston Jetties are amazing fishing grounds for Spring Breakers looking to get hooked up on some Big Fish for CPR (catch-photo-release) and also to fill some bags with fillets of fresh caught Gulf Fillets. The BaySnapper are loaded up along the granite reefs at the passage way to the Gulf and these amazing fish are giving our Galveston Spring Breakers lots of fun fishing action. Using light tackle and free-lining live shrimp along the rocks are the hot ticket to get hooked up on these hearty fish. These fish are great fun for avid anglers and for the less experienced anglers you can rest assured that our Kid Friendly Galveston Fishing Guides will show you how to become a fish catching machine in very little time.

This past week has also produced some very solid speckled trout while targeting BaySnaps. While the targeted species are the Snaps – the bonus speckled trout, redfish, drum and occasional pompano have made this past week's trips so very fun.

Also, the Brute Black Drum Run is underway and these fish in the 15 to 30 pound range will get those Spring Breakers something to tell all their friends about! The Galveston Black Drum Run will continue through April and are always a great bonus for Our Galveston Spring Break Fishing Charters. We CPR these Giant fish as they are "in town" spawning for our future Spring Breakers.

Galveston Bay & Marsh

If you are looking for calm, shallow waters with less crowds and beautiful scenery – Our Galveston Bay and Marsh Fishing Charters maybe more your style. On virtually every trip, we are seeing some Giant Alligators sun bathing after their winter rest. Along with beautiful migrating birds of all colors adding even more beauty to the sun rise boat ride down the bayous on our way to the fishing grounds. This past week has seen some amazing water conditions and clarity for this time of year, and the speckled trout, redfish, puppy drum, BaySnaps, and occasional flounder are moving up on the oyster reefs and feeding. We are using live shrimp under a popping cork and these shallow water trips are great for youngsters and adults alike. With calm waters the word "sea sick" is never mentioned.
