Trophy size fish continue to be the norm lately on our Galveston Fishing Charters. The speckled trout bite has been incredible, and our Galveston Bay Fishing Guides know where they are. With the large amounts of rainfall we experienced in April, we are finding our fish congregated along channels and passes to the Gulf where the salinity levels are more stable.

Speckled Trout, Redfish, Sheepshead, Sharks, Ling, Drum and are being caught at this time. Live Shrimp continues to be the number 1 bait of choice while fresh shad, mullet and sand trout are the best lately for Giant Sharks!

Our Galveston Deep Sea Fishing is heating up. The king mackeral are being found closer to the beach. Also, some nice ling are being caught as well as some dorado. This past week a sailfish was hooked and landed only 25 miles out while fishing for Kingfish. It is time to get out and catch some Giant fish in the Gulf of Mexixo. Red Snapper season will open June 1 and we still have some availability if someone is ready to catch some fresh Gulf Red Snapper as well as kingfish, ling, mahi and more!

Our Galveston Flounder Gigging Charters have been running lately with mixed results. Water clarity has made us focus on limited areas that remain clear enough. Though we have plenty of flounder in the bays - being able to see them to gig is another story. At this time, rod and reel fishing for the Galveston Flounder has been more successful. Once the waters clear up and we can see the Bay floor in more areas - I anticipate some spectacular Flounder Gigging.

There is much to be excited for if you are looking to Book a Galveston Fishing Charter. This is an amazing time of year for fishing in Galveston Texas! Give us a call at 409-739-8526 or email Captain Greg at [email protected]
