Sabine Lake August 2011

Capt. Randy Foreman
August 14, 2011
Sabine Lake - Saltwater Fishing Report

I've been fishing the Louisiana shore line shell flats and clam shell, 2ft to 4ft water where speckled trout are feeding on mullet and shad. Also, fishing slicks with nice trout to 5 lbs on the south level and the north level walls. Best bite is incoming tide fishing off ICW on mud flats and shell 2ft to 4 ft and 10ft of water, catching nice trout and lots of redfish to 9 lbs. The flounder fishing has picked up with the fall run coming. The flounder are moving out of the deep holes from the marshes and staging on the points and drops and the bayous. Fishing with 1/4 1/8 jig all on incoming tides. My best baits Down South Lures Bayou Chub Minnows, Stanley Side Winder Flounder Pounder, Terry's Sonar B Dog Spoon and Extreme Fishbite 3.5" baits and all tipped with Fish Shrimp and Crab Strips.
Good Fishing,
Capt. Randy
