Capt. Randy Foreman
March 11, 2010
Sabine Lake - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sabine Lake fishing is good with the northwest winds and the low tides. This month I am fishing Neches River, Bessie Height Marsh, Entergy Canal and ICW. At Bessie Height Marsh, we have redfish and flounder, which I'm catching on C T Redshade/LSU Bayou Chub Minnow 1/8 Tru-lock Jig Head tipped with Fish Bites Shrimp, fishing the deep cuts in the marsh drains keying on mullet. I'm also fishing the west bank of the Neches River 4 to 10ft water, holding good numbers of redfish to 10 lbs. The Entergy Canal holding lots of redfish, sheep head/drum; best on dead shrimp. North end of Sabine Lake off ICW, redfish 2 to 4ft water with few speckled trout showing up in 7 ft water, fishing over mussel flats keying on mullet. The Louisiana shoreline holding bait also keying on mullet making long drifts over shell flats nice Speckled Trout to 4 lbs best bait browns black Cat devils eye 1/8 jig tipped with fish bite shrimp.

Good Fishing
