Lake Champlain - Freshwater Fishing Report

The annual LCI Father Day Derby is here & this means BIG Cash & prizes for man New England & New York Anglers on Lake Champlain! The Atlantic Salmon & Browns have been hitting small spoons from 25 to 40 ft down. Copper & Orange, Rainbow Trout & Green Glow are hot spoon colors. The lakers are still staggred in the water column, down 75 to 90ft. Inline & verticle flashers with spoons or stick baits have been taking some nice Lakers in the ten pound range. Don't be afraid to try a dodger or flasher/fly slow trolled for these Big Lakers!

Lake Champlain Fishing Forecast:

Fishing should continue good through out the nest month, as the thermmocline is already set up & the Salmon are still hitting. The Early June slow down on Lake Ontario has come and gone & the King Salmon are hitting again with some great brown trout & lakers making a nice mixed bag!
Target Species:

Landlocks & Lake Trout
