Fish Report

Capt. Tony Bushway
June 2, 2009
Lake Champlain - Freshwater Fishing Report

We have started our 2009 season aboard the An Bradon.

We are doing very well on Salmon and Brown Trout with double digit landings in a 4 hour trip.Water temps are in the low 50s and the fish are 4-20 feet down taking a varity of spoons. Leadcore has also been producing fish.

Walleye season is open and there are good reports coming from Sandbar Bridge, The fill in South hero, Grand Isle Draw Bridge, Grand Isle Fill, as well as the cut at Pelots.Fishing at nite using deep diving plugs.

Bass and pike are starting to heat up as well. For bass wacky rigged senkos are doing well. Pike jerk baits and spinner baits have been getting there attention.

As far as the Lazy Lakers. They are out there and on the bottom. We do not target them due to there poor sporting and eating quality. We do however catch one here and there. They have been hitting slow trolled plugs and spoons on the bottom using lake trolls.

We still have open dates for the 2009 season fishing.

Fishing is ON now and are expecting a great 2009 season.
