High water but Fish are still biting!

Capt. Matthew Trombley

Lake Champlain - Freshwater Fishing Report

We have been dealing with unusually high & discolored water this year due to the unreal amount of rain we have been getting, but the lake Trout continue to cooperate along with some mixed Atlantic Salmon & steelhead. Fishing deep water humps & reefs in 85 to 100ft of water has been the ticket with spoons & inline blades to take lakers. Salmon Steelhead have been down 45 to 55ft now with tight leads & bright spoons on sunny days working best.
