Capt. Matthew Trombley
June 19, 2013
Lake Champlain - Freshwater Fishing Report

We have seen normal summer patterns establish in the last week or so. We have been running 3 to 4 trips a week since May & have finally seen a thermocline & active fish set up. We have been catching Atlantic Salmon 3 to 5 pounds & Lake Trout 8 to 12 pounds steady each day. Salmon have been coming 25 to 45ft down & Lake Trout have been being caught on deep water reefs & humps in 85 to 110 feet of water.

Lake Champlain Fishing Forecast:

Solid summer fishing should continue through out the next six weeks! Water temps are really helping out & limits of Lake Trout, Salmon & Steelhead should be the norm into late July. We will be heading out to Lake Ontario from the end of July through mid September as we chase the KING...King Salmon!

Target Species:

Atlantic Salmon, Lake Trout & Steelhead

More Fishing Reports:
