Tautog Bite improves, Flounder and Striper Season Approaching
March has given us some warming temps and were catching fish again. We primarily target Tautog for the month March. Catching a dozen or so up to 7 pounds each trip so far in March. There has been some flounder caught, but they usually don't start hitting till late March early April and with the extremly cold winter we had they were not hitting good in March.
Chesapeake Bay Fishing Forecast:

April will produce some good Tautog fishing and the Flounder bight will pick up as they start pouring into the Bay. The Tautog season Closes at the end of April, so don't wait too long or you'll miss them. The Primary Fish we will be targeting in April will be Tautog and Flounder. Spring Striper Season will be May and the 1st two weeks of June.
