Lake Michigan Report 5/08/12 - Sheboygan WI

Capt. James Schlegel
May 10, 2012
Sheboygan - Freshwater Fishing Report

Well the 2012 fishing season is now underway. It's great to be out on the water again. Fished Tuesday morning just south of the commercial fishing nets in 60 to 100 feet of water. Went 11 for 12 catching everything but a brown trout. The warmer cloudy water was as far out as 2 miles offshore. We decided to fish the clear colder water. Our bigger kings were caught on a dodger fly combo set 60 feet deep on a downrigger. we also had several fish on a silver/green rattlesnake on 5 color lead. The Sheboygan Area Great Lakes Sport Fishermen club is again sponsoring the "Ride a Charter Boat Day". It's scheduled for next Tuesday May 15 starting at 6:00 pm. at the boardwalk. Free boat rides, refreshments and salmon recipes. I posted a short video of our mornings fishing action on my website at:
