Ruben and I headed down to the Keys during the Holidays to see if we can snag a few more groupers before the closing on January 1st. Conditions were a bit sloppy in the morning but the seas laid down in the afternoon. The current was pretty weak all day and fishing was slow but we did manage a few small fish when it was all said and done. It’s going to be a long four months of no bottom fishing for me as I don’t even want to be put in a position of having to release a big black, lol. I guess I’ll just stick to the edge and harass some sailfish in the meantime. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Happy New Year. Here are a few pics.
