Early in the day I told my wife I didn't feel well, but I had a swordfishing charter later that evening. It was 3:00 p.m. and still no relief. I called my backup Capt. Jake - the only other captain that runs the SeaCross besides me. Jake and I went up to the fly bridge and I refreshed his memory on the location of the drift and set the game plan up. “Everything else will all fall into place,” I told him, and by 8:30 p.m. that evening, they had a 362 lb. slob on the deck of the SeaCross. When I got back to the boat, I was so proud of my crew for not only putting the angler on an elusive swordfish, but for catching a 362 lb. slob. It was a great feeling to have such a professional crew. Thanks Jake and Alex!!
