Tarpon Fishing Off Haulover Beach

Went tarpon fishing off Haulover Beach on Friday night with my son Rudy, and friend Kelly. It was a beautiful night – clear skies & full moon.

The tarpon were there in good numbers. We were marking them all up and down the beach just south of the inlet. We made about 6 drifts using live shrimp from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. In that time, we had 4 solid hits and caught 3 nice tarpon between 50 & 80 lbs. Here’s one:
