Night-Time Trout Bite 6-17-09

I had the pleasure again of taking out Chris Ginn with La Sportsman Magazine last night. Capt Joel Wakeland also joined us for a cool night time trout bite, not one drop of sweat fell!!!! I had figured it would be a early bite due to the tide change, but the fish did not turn on till 10-10:30. We were all reeling in fish or getting strikes every cast for about one hour straight once they turned on. All of a sudden the switch was turned off and we could not buy a bite. I kept moving around and found one spot that gave up another 5-6 fish. After getting all the pictures we needed we were headed North. You never know with these fish, when they will feed and for how long. The object is to catch as many as you can as fast as you can because they can shut off just as fast as they turn on. We have been plagued with a West wind the past week and it really has the water dirtied up. I believe the dirty water played a major role last night in the fish turning off. Every-fish caught on double rigged plastics...LIKE ALWAYS!!! Give me a call for day or night trips, I will put you on the fish either way.

Thanks Chris and Joel for another successful trip
