Alabama Offshore Report

Postby Capt Johnny Greene » Wed Aug 24, 2005 11:02 am

The bottom fishing from Orange beach and Gulf Shores Alabama has been really good lately as it has been all summer. The Yellowfin Tuna fishing has been nothing shy of awesome. Fished a Sunday - Monday overnighter and had 8 Yellow fins to 125 several Black fins to 30, Amberjacks in the 35-50 pound class as well. We have had several King Mackerels in the 50 pound class on the drift lines The Wahoo were real strong early this month but they have moved on for now. We have tagged 2 White Marlin, 1 Sailfish and 3 Blue Marlin this month as well. August is one of my favorite months offshore due to the calm weather and the consistent bite. The weather has been calm for a good while and we have taken advantage of it and venturing on down the road a good bit and it has paid off handsomely. Thanks to everyone for such a great summer. We still have a few days open here and there but we are actively booking next year at this time. Thanks JG www.fishorangebeach.com
