5-26-07 Even Tougher Day

Postby Capt Marty » Mon May 28, 2007 5:52 pm

What can I say I wanted to get my crew on some trout and did everything possible, but it did not happen today. We covered many miles along the coast and even braved the seas and headed offshore.......only to catch some hard heads Murky dirty water was only to be found. Only one trout hit the deck today and it was 11 1/2 inches. After dogging some thunder clouds we had to save face and headed to the ponds. With 2 hours left to fish we boxed 5 nice reds and 1 drum. The ponds I fished today were crystal clear and dark. The reds came out GOLDEN (real pretty fish). This wind may decide to quit blowing one day, and we will get back to slamming the trout. Never the less the past 3 days have been great with my crew. Big thanks to Capt. Bill Lake for setting everything up.
