Had the pleasure of fishing with Clabe Dobbs out of Birmingham Alabama today. I had my doubts this morning while looking at the radar and wind, but we headed out anyway. Made it to our first stop and started putting trout in the boat every cast. Thought we would limit out here, but the trout quit biting after we put 20 keepers in the box. Made a couple moves without luck, so it was off to hit the reds. Put 3 reds in the boat withing 10 minutes and watched birds dive like crazy everywhere!!!! Went see what was going on and put another 30 trout in the box Some going 17 inches!!! They were chasing the shrimp everywhere, and some of the trout were coming completely out the water in hot pursuit After the bite shut down it was off to the marsh to finish off our limit of reds. It did not take long to get hooked up, and we put our other 7 reds in the box The water in the ponds was nice and clear and the reds came out nice and golden bronze. What a awesome day to be on the water. Thanks Clabe, great fishing with you today.
