Day 1 with Don, Barry Hutcherson, and Ray Nichols. My crew flew in this morning from Dallas, after unloading their gear at the "REEL INN" we set off in search of the "YELLOW MOUTHS" at 12:00. First couple stops only produced a couple trout, so it was off to the secret "HOT SPOT".......and it was ON!!!! The trout were coming in the boat one after another, and averaged 12-18inchs. Most were caught under a cork with a chartreuse sparkle beetle, as we only caught about 15 fish tight-lined with the LSU chub. The water was beautiful everywhere we fished today, and the trout were holding in 3-5 ft of water. The guys ended the day with their limit of 75 trout, several going over 2 pounds. Great evening of fishing and can't wait for tomorrow
P.S. Capt. Duber I missed you out there today, thought for sure I would see you. Troutman PM'd me last night telling me where you were catching all those fish at. What happend today?
