Trout Bashing Down Dularge 6-23-08

Postby Capt Marty » Wed Jul 02, 2008 6:36 pm

Helped out Capt. Bill Lake today with a 3 man charter. I picked the guys up from the "Reel Inn" and we were headed South. Hit the gulf and was greeted with calm seas. Our first 3 stops found dirty water and only 9 trout. Finding clean water was the ticket to finding the yellow-mouths. Once we found the clean water, "It was On!!!". The guys had the trout coming in 3-6 at a time. We picked up 100 croakers for insurance and threw 100 croakers away. As usual, every fish caught on tandem rigged plastics, with avocado being the best color. With zero wind and slick calm seas, the sweat was rolling!! It sure was nice to SLAM the yellow mouths again though, as the last three days have been tough. Great day to be on the water, thanks guys and thanks Capt. Bill for lining everything up.
