Helped out Capt. Bill on Sat with a two man crew from Alabama. David Vial and Mark Sonnier had heard about all the great catching going on and wanted to get in on the great action. No tide movement made for a hard day, as we worked hard to only put 10 fish on ice. Had some pecker trout that we threw back and 5 red fish hookups which none hit the deck. All in all it was a long hard day on the DU. Thanks Capt. Bill for setting the trip up.

Jason & Alaina Nugent, and Josh & Wendy Barrett joined me today. We got off to a good start putting 20 trout in the 13-16 inch range in the box at our first stop. The action did not last long, as the bite shut down as fast as it started. We picked at different schools of fish the rest of the day, never getting on a good concentration of fish. Plenty more pecker trout and 7 more keeper trout. Fished 3 different locations hard for red fish, hooking only 4 red fish (1 broke off, 2 throwbacks, 1 keeper). Another day with no tide movement and strong winds made for a very tough day of fishing. Final tally of 27 trout and 1 red fish. From the others I spoke with at the dock, no one had over 8 fish. I guess one could say we had a great day!!!! Always a pleasure fishing with Jason and Alaina and it was nice meeting their friends. Thanks guys and I look forward till next time!!
