I helped Capt. Bill Lake today with Steve Coon and crew. We were greeted this morning to a beautiful clear sky and slick calm lake. It took about 20 minutes after arriving for the shrimp to get moving and start jumping all around us. After feeling them out and finding what they wanted...."It was ON!!!" 13-16 inch trout were being slung into the boat from all directions. We had 62 fish on ice when the tide slowed down and the fish quit biting. Made a few more moves checking out some other spots only to pick up another 8 fish. The guys had to get to a meeting, so we called it quits at 11:30 with 70 trout. Everything today was caught on a single plastic 18 inchs under a popping cork. Thanks guys and Capt. Bill for putting the trip together.
