I had the pleasure today of fishing with Raymond & Jake Mikolajezyk, and Nick Strentz from Lafayette. We found clean/moving water with light winds and bait fish all over the place at our first stop. 8 trout and a red hit the Yeti on our first drift, then nothing. We left our first location to see if we could find a better bite. After fishing four other locations with no luck (dirty water every-where), we decided to go check another area that I knew would be protected. We quickly added a couple more reds, flounder and trout to the Yeti. When the bite shut down we took off to try and locate more clean water. When we finally located some pretty water, I was fixing to say "someone should be hooking into a fish". Before I even finished my sentence..."BAM" a nice 16 inch trout slammed the Tsunami!!! We hooked into another 7-8 fish thinking we were on to something, but we were wrong! Its like they turned the switch off as fast as they turned it on. Dirty water, wind, and not much tide movement made for a tough day today. However, persistence paid off as my crew put together a nice mess of trout, reds and one door-mat flounder. Great fishing with you guys, thanks!!
