Alabama's Coosa River

There is an Alabama Coosa River Breed of big, trophy-size, Spotted Bass (a fighting fury on any angler's rod), that can be caught throughout all six of the Coosa River System, man made lakes! Summertime shows these bass (that prefer current and cooler water), can be found in the comfort of each lake's head water's and caught in numbers, below upstream dams in swift, cooler water! There many "Spots" some weighing in the 4-5 pound range (and in some huge schools), often fooled all summer long, during this river-type bass fishing!
