Fishing Tournaments

Competition can sometimes bring out the best in people, and fishing is no exception. A great example is the multitude of charity fishing events. Across the world, fishermen are coming together for the benefit of some very worthwhile causes. At CyberAngler, we encourage your participation in fishing tournaments - especially those where the winners may not be participants.

22nd Annual South Florida Dolphin Challenge

April 4 - June 30, 2017 - Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The South Florida Dolphin Challenge is an Angler tournament lasting 3 months. During the Qualifying period which runs (April 1- June 30) Anglers try to catch one of the 20 heaviest Dolphin (20lb Min) gaining them entry to a 1 day fish-off for cash and prizes held at the end of the qualifying period. Entry fee is $100 per angler, You may enter at any time. (optional Calcuttas at Fish Off)

83rd Suncoast Tarpon Roundup

May 13 - July 21, 2017 - Tampa Bay, Florida

83rd Suncoast Tarpon Roundup. Ten weeks of family and fun fishing in the Tampa Bay area. Multiple Divisions, weekly and overall winners, and $10K in cash and prizes. A family tournament, plus a banquet for all to enjoy. https://www.facebook.com/suncoasttarpon.roundup/

12th Annual Ed Alber Tarpon Rodeo

June 8-9, 2017 - Tierra Verde, Florida

The 12th Annual Ed Alber Tarpon Rodeo is a catch and release fishing tournament with cash prizes totaling $4,000. Anglers will fish their favorite spots throughout Tampa Bay from one mile offshore running north to Redington Fishing Pier and south to Longboat Pass. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Tampa Bay Watch, a nonprofit organization with a mission to protect and restore the marine and wetland environments of the Tampa Bay estuary through scientific and educational programs.
