Wow what a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Weather perfect LIGHT wind less than 5 mph, sun shined all day, Gulf like a bath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Temp reached 82 early in the afternoon, slight breeze as good as it gets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another fine group of "Athletes" assemble at the Captain Tony's for the all day Grouper/Snapper trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We traveled over 2 hours to get to deeper water in search of Mr. Grouper. I had live Pin fish in a bubble, a story for another day about that but I had 2 dozen expecting some friends. Boat supplied Sardines and squid. I was ready for action the only guy on the boat with live bait?????????????

First stop BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grouper all over the place, we must have put 5 in cooler at the first stop. I got lots of action but no keepers, tons of fish. Also those using smaller hooks got tons of Lane, mangrove and gray snapper all nice size. Non stop action.

The best grouper day I have ever seen in FL, tons of fish we ended the day with OVER 20 keepers a ton of snapper some triggers and some all other fish. The water was beautiful and clear, the best day ever on the Gulf:

I was focused on grouper but had no luck most of the day lots of shorts some very close but no keepers, we had an assortment of Reds, Blacks and scamp in the box.

We went to our last spot on the way home and we got some nice snapper no keeper grouper. The captain started the engines and said we were headed in. No one pulled the anchor so I continued to fish. They started pulling up the anchor and moving the boat forward and I got a hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about the last minute, I got my keeper grouper, a great and to a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GREAT day on the water, and we try again on Friday stay tuned.
