Need Destin Advice

[Freshwater TN]

I'm a saltwater novice. I'll be in Destin this week (6/1-6/5) and need some advice on mainly surf-fishing. Time and money will be limited. So no big trips. Just a few hours here and there. It's my anniversary trip. So quality time with the wife will be the main deal. Any advice would be appreciated. Can I catch anything on the beach now?
