Striped Bass Off Branford CT

Capt. Pat Juliano
June 16, 2008
New Haven - Saltwater Fishing Report

The Last week or so the fishing has been very slow. We have plenty of bait in the area but are lacking good numbers of Bass and Blue fish. We are getting about 3 keepers a trip with about a dozen blues. The odd part is that usually this time of year the fish we are getting are full of sea lice. That is not the case this season. It leads me to believe that we have not seen the migration of fish into stese waters yet.

The reefs off of Branford has been the best bet for fish. The ones we are getting are quality fish.

From the shore, The hot spot still is the Q river. Bass and blues are being taken there in the early morning and late evenings on bunker.
