Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

This time of year we should be pulling up porgies in all the regular haunts, but they're few and far between. Not much in the way of striped bass either, and the fluke catch is slowing down dramatically after a good run for the past couple of months. We're still getting nice-sized sea bass, and the large blues have come closer to our shores.
As Labor Day approaches, folks are calling for charters more than they did all summer long, and we've been very busy for the past two weeks; we've tried our best to keep our clients happy, and we've succeeded, which is the bottom line for charter captains.
September fishing is generally fruitful, but we never know what awaits us.
