Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report
We had just one trip after Columbus Day.
Although the end of the week was plagued with winds and rain, we eked out a passable day on Sunday--and sailed in the morning with Richard Goligoski of Riverside, who was hosting a birthday celebration for his son, Nick, who brought along two of his closest buddies for a day of fishing. We had to stay close to shore because the wave heights in the middle of the Sound were too daunting for our young group of anglers.
Porgy season is now closed, so all the scup the youngsters caught had to be thrown back, but they brought in several blackfish, including two big enough to keep and bring home.
