Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

We fished with Emilio Pandolfi and had a great day with blues and bass on the surface off of Sherwood Park--and then we jigged up large bass in the same spot.
For three days we were the "camera boat" for an ESPN filming production highlighting the art of autumn jigging on Long Island Sound. The film features Rick Mola, owner of Fisherman's World, Norwalk's largest bait and tackle shop.
Southport has been a consistent hot spot for blues and stripers, with very large bluefish and many keeper striped bass--caught on both surface plugs and jigs. The Obstruction Buoy, 28C, and 11B are also holding fish.
The fishing is red hot with the fall migration at its peak, but "My Bonnie" will only be in the water for another two weeks, so now's the time to get on board.
