Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sallie Briggs of Darien returned for her third trip with us this year, bringing along her brother, Tim, visiting from North Carolina. It was a great day, chasing bluefish on the surface, and catching about a dozen—as well as a striped bass caught at Billy’s Rock at the beginning of the day.
Ed Yochowitz of Norwalk and his daughter, Melissa, had a wonderful morning catching striped bass off of Frost Point. They reeled in seven stripers up to 30”.
The action is great—nonstop with bluefish, and there are lots of nice-sized stripers at several local hot spots. The bait is still in residence, so fishing should be exciting for several weeks.
