Norwalk Islands - Saltwater Fishing Report
It was a slow week, mostly due to the daily bad weather forecasts that were a concern for local fishermen (and the actual wind and rain and thunderstorms which hit us almost every afternoon,) but we did go out Saturday with Bryan Jennings of New Canaan—aboard his 28-ft Mako—to help him learn some new angling techniques, and to familiarize him with more of Long Island Sound's fishing areas. It was a pleasant morning for both of us, and I'm confident that Bryan and his passengers will be bringing home more fish for their family's barbecues this season.
Bad weather continues to be on the horizon, but we're hoping to do more fishing in the next several days. If you can get out on the water, you can expect a nice catch of bluefish and porgies.
Light tackle fishing in Long Island Sound May through November. Targeting striped bass, bluefish, porgies, fluke. 25-foot C-Hawk customized sportsfisherman with fully-enclosed pilot house.
