Fall is upon us!! - Fishing for me has slowed a bit. Water temps are cooling off due to rain that was have been getting from the tropical storms. Bass (smallmouth) fishing has about ended they are out in the deeper waters. Can still find a few largemouth still in the sh more...

Mid-Summer - Stripers are hitting hard down in southern Maine. The charter boats are out daily.
Bass (large & small mouth) fishing here has been going well. They hittig tubes,sankos, and flies.
Also been catching a few of the trout species by trolling.

Fishing so far - Finally get a chance to post a report. Sorry for the delay. Turkey season took over this season and didn't get a big chance to do any fishing.
We have had a wet spring and that seem to have kept fishing slow. Large and smallmouth bass seem to be o more...

Fall is coming - Water temps are cooling down and the bass are heading for deeper water. Salmon, Togue and other trout are hitting pretty well with these cooler temps.
Trolling seems to work best. Trolling streamers and other trolling lures are working great.

Late summer fishing - Water temps are down a bit so the bass have been active out in the lakes and ponds. I did some trolling last week and the bass fishing was great. Fishing off of points seem to be the spots to hit as fish were stacked up on them. Small trolling lures more...

The weather is hot - Water temps are getting up so salmon are going deep. Splake and Togue are still being caught on leadcore. Bait being sewn on is working real well at this time.
The mackeral have hit here along the coast. Heavy fish are being caught. I have not see more...

Salmon are still hitting - We have had a bunch of rain here in the last week or so and it has kept our water temps down.
So ll salmon are stiil up towards the surface and hitting flies and small lures. A few browns and splake are being caught as well.

First of the year - Sorry that it has been so long getting a report out. But this spring has been slow for me on the fishing end of things. Turkies keep me busy most of May. But anyways here goes my report.

First report of 2010 - Things started early here in Maine this year. Ice out was very early all through the state.
Trout fishing in the local pond is going on strong. People are catching trout by trolling sewn smelts and lures.

Fall Fishing - This will probably be my last post till I get out to do some ice fishing this winter. Hunting season starts next week so I will be out in the woods.
