Anna Maria Fishing Charters - June 9, 2013

Capt. Tom Chaya
June 9, 2013
Anna Maria - Saltwater Fishing Report

There are plenty of different species to catch at this time of year. Tarpon are roaming the beaches and passes. They're peak time will be around the full moon. The bays have been productive on the moving tides. Plenty of trout are in hitting shiners in deeper grass. Bluefish up to five pounds were in the same areas. Snook and reds are still in decent numbers around the mangrove islands on high tides. Pompano are eating sandfleas and jigs near the beach structure and bridges. Some nice permit are also found in these same areas. Mangrove snapper are increasing in numbers and will be hitting on free lined shrimp around all the reefs, wrecks, and bridges. Flounder are laying around hard bottom edges. School kingfish and Spanish mackerel were following bait schools offshore. Blacktip and Atlantic sharpnose sharks provided good action around the threadfin schools. Tom Chaya
