Everglades - Great Fishing

Capt. Becky Campbell
May 16, 2010
Everglades City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing is good here in the Everglades National Park.

Tarpon are finally here and seem to be everywhere....in the passes, on the flats, along the beaches...everwhere. If you want to catch one of these Big guys, they will put you to your max...sometimes taking up to an hour to land...can you do it or will the tarpon win?

We are also catching nice size redfish, actually at the top of the slot size. These fish are a lot of fun to catch and good to eat also.

Plenty of Trout and some Pompano too. Mackerel are in the 4-6 lb range and put up a good fight.

Snook..did someone say snook..yes we are catching snook of all sizes around the islands.

May is a great time of year and probably one of my favorite months to fish. The summer rains haven't started yet, but they are sure to come....

So come down and let's go fishing, cause the fishing is great and so is the weather. Capt Becky Campbell 239-695-2029----Click to Enlarge Photo" target="_blank" title="www.EvergladesFishingCharters.comClick to Enlarge Photo">www.EvergladesFishingCharters.comClick to Enlarge Photo

Fishing & Sightseeing from the serious anglers to fun for the whole family. I will make your day one to remember. I have fished the waters of Florida for over 30 years. Being born in Florida I have grown up with knowledge and great love of the outdoors. The waters of Everglades National Park/10,000 Islands holds everything from pan-fish to the mighty Silver King (Tarpon) and we catch them all. Fishing around the Islands, Beaches, Flats, Backwaters, & Nearshore Wrecks.
